Are you passionate about food and looking for an exciting job opportunity? The C.H.E.F. Challenge is hiring! We're seeking dedicated individuals to join our team and make a difference in our Mid-South (Arkansas and Tennessee) communities, classrooms, and cafeterias. The C.H.E.F. Challenge, a USDA-funded initiative, is seeking a passionate and experienced Chef Ambassador to bring healthy, scratch-cooked meals into public schools! This is an incredible opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students by teaching healthy habits and working closely with schools, farmers, child nutrition experts and students to provide nutritious food options.

🍽️ Train school kitchen staff on new weekly menu items
🍏 Build meaningful relationships with school personnel, parents, and partner organizations
🍳 Educate students and school communities through culinary and nutrition classes
📊 Support program evaluation and improvement efforts
📦 Manage ingredient inventory
📅 Attend relevant school meetings and perform additional duties as needed

✅ Culinary school graduate or equivalent experience
✅ Deadline-oriented with strong attention to detail
✅ Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
✅ Leadership abilities and the ability to work well with diverse groups
✅ Passionate about healthy eating and our mission to improve school nutrition
✅ Ability to work with children and parents in a dynamic school environment

- Ability to lift to 50 pounds
- Be on your feet for 5-7 hours/day
- Handle all types of food and ingredients
- Recent PPD negative status, SERV Safe certification, and cleared background/fingerprint check through the Department of Education may be necessary
